The Slynn Foundation is a member of the The Rule of Law Expertise (ROLE UK) Consortium.

Role UK works to strengthen the rule of law in developing countries through supporting the provision of pro bono legal and judicial expertise. It does this by

  • supporting assignments that address rule of law and poverty reduction goals

  • sharing knowledge and lessons learned

  • supporting strategic and sustainable partnerships between the UK legal sector and developing country counterparts

Funded by the Department for International Development (DFID), as well as the Slynn Foundation the ROLE UK programme consortium includes Advocates for International Development (A4ID); the Bar Human Rights Committee; the Bingham Centre for the Rule of Law (part of the British Institute of International and Comparative Law); the Council of the Inns of Court; International Senior Lawyers Project UK; iProbono; and the Judicial Office.
